Just over the Limb Solar Event captured by SDO and IRIS

On May 9, 2014, an active region has just rotated over the limb of the Sun when it launches a large amount of plasma into space. Both SDO and IRIS caught the event.

Starting with full-disk view from SDO, the view zooms-in to the view of IRIS on the solar limb. The IRIS view repeatedly slews the spectroscopic slit (the dark line across the center of the IRIS view) across the region of interest.
