Come closer! Step inside a lab at NASA Goddard to meet VICI, a small chamber that simulates the atmospheric temperatures and pressures at the surface of Venus. VICI is helping our scientists anticipate what they might find during our DAVINCI mission, which will send a probe into the crushing, nearly 900 degrees Fahrenheit (470 degrees Celsius), inhospitable atmosphere of Venus.
